Normal Linkage and Blade Positions
Fasten right and left links in top holes. Center shift link in normal position.
Connect center shift link top end in right hole of side shift rack. Connect lower end on left side of drawbar.
Extend center shift link for top blading. Shorten for extreme reach.
Set blade vertical for regular work.
Blade Tip
Tilt blade forward for high bank cutting, road maintenance and general dragging.
Tilt blade back to roll material.
Adjusting Lift Links
- 1. Lower blade to ground to relieve weight on link.
- 2. Remove locking pin from link retaining pin.
- 3. Remove retaining pin.
- 4. Raise or lower lift arm to set link at desired length.
- 5. Align pin holes in link halves.
- 6. Install retaining pin and locking pin.
Adjusting Center Shift Link
- 1. Lower blade to ground and shift rack as necessary to relieve weight on link.
- 2. Remove snap ring from link retaining pin.
- 3. Remove retaining pin.
- 4. Shift rack until link is set at desired length.
- 5. Align pin holes in link halves.
- 6. Install retaining pin and snap ring.
Repositioning Center Shift Link
- 1. Lower blade to ground and shift rack as necessary to relieve weight on link.
- 2. Remove lower ball cap bolts and remove ball cap and shims.
- 3. Remove ball joint retaining pin, cotter pin and remove retaining pin.
- 4. Remove link and ball joint as an assembly. Use soft head hammer to loosen joint.
- 5. Install ball joint in alternate hole. Make certain taper and hole are clean.
- 6. Install joint retaining pin and cotter pin.
- 7. Install lower ball joint cap and shims.
- 8. Install cap bolts, lockwashers and nuts.
- 9. Check fit of upper and lower ball joints. Joints should be snug but work freely.
- 10. If either joint is too tight or too loose, add or remove shims as required.
- 11. Secure link at desired length with retaining pin. Lubricate both joints.
Extending Moldboard - Mechanical Type No. 112
- 1. Lower blade to the ground.
- 2. Remove lock from tip strap pins and drive pin out.
- 3. Lift circle enough to free tip strap. Place blocks under rear reinforcing plate.
- 4. Remove locks from lower pins and drive pins out. Lift and move circle back.
- 5. Shift circle and align pin holes with alternate brackets. Install lower pins and locks.
- 6. Remove blocks and lower circle to align tip strap holes. Install strap pins and locks.
Extending Moldboard - Mechanical Type No. 120 & 140
- 1. To shift right: set end of blade behind left front wheel. To shift left: set end of blade behind right front wheel.
- 2. Remove snap ring from lock retaining pin.
- 3. Remove retaining pin and lock. Lean wheels to right to shift blade to left. Lean wheels to left to shift blade to right.
- 4. Move machine forward to align alternate notch with lock. Moldboard should move freely on rail.
- 5. Install lock and pin.
- 6. Install snap ring.
Extend Moldboard - Hydraulic Shift Type
- 1. Lower blade to ground.
- 2. Loosen bolts securing cylinder rod end bracket to moldboard.
- 3. Remove bolts and lockwashers.
- 4. Retract cylinder rod.
- 5. Align bolt holes in bracket with alternate holes in moldboard.
- 6. Install bolts and lockwashers and tighten.
