Forward and reverse travel of the machine are controlled by the engine throttle and the travel control. Travel speeds up to 176 feet per minute are possible.

- 1. Raise the mainframe evenly so the cutter and moldboard will clear any obstructions.
- 2. Position the engine throttle at full throttle.

BE SURE THE TRAVEL CONTROL IS AT "N" BEFORE MOVING THE EMERGENCY AND PARKING BRAKE CONTROL TO "RELEASE" OR THE MACHINE WILL LUNGE FORWARD OR BACKWARD. |

- 3. Check that the travel control is at "N" then move the emergency and parking brake control to "Release".
- 4. Position the travel control to obtain the speed and direction of travel desired.

DO NOT MOVE THE TRAVEL CONTROL FROM ONE TRAVEL DIRECTION TO THE OTHER WITHOUT BRINGING THE MACHINE TO A COMPLETE STOP FIRST, OR SEVERE DAMAGE MAY RESULT. WHEN MOVING A PR-450 UP ONTO OR DOWN OFF A CURB OR OTHER OBSTRUCTION, USE CRIBBING TO FORM A RAMP FROM THE LOWER LEVEL TO THE UPPER LEVEL OR THE MACHINE LEGS MAY BE DAMAGED. |
- 5. Return the travel control to "N" to stop the machine.
