Track Drive Hydraulic System
- 1. Clutch control - turns the cutter on or off by engaging ("In") or disengaging ("Out") the power take-off clutch.
- 2. Air pressure gauge - shows the pressure in the compressed air system in pounds per square inch (PSI). The normal pressure is 90 to 100 PSI. AIR PRESSURE MUST BE AVAILABLE TO ENGAGE THE CUTTER.
Show/hide tableTHE POWER TAKE-OFF CLUTCH MUST BE DISENGAGED BEFORE STARTING THE CUTTER ENGINE (ENGINE A).
- 3. Moldboard control - controls the moldboard hydraulic cylinders to move the moldboard "Up" and "Down", or keep the moldboard in contact with the grade ("Float").
- 4. Cutter door control - "Raises" or "Lowers" the door on the front of the cutter housing. The primary engine (engine B) must be running for this control to work.
Show/hide tableDISENGAGE THE CUTTER CLUTCH, LOCK THE CLUTCH CONTROL AT "OUT" AND SHUT THE CUTTER ENGINE (ENGINE A) DOWN BEFORE WORKING ON THE CUTTER. SERIOUS INJURIES CAN RESULT FROM INADVERTENT STARTING OF THE CUTTER.
- 5. Cutter auxiliary drive control - turns the cutter auxiliary drive motor "On" or "Off" to turn the cutter when servicing the cutter. The primary engine (engine B) must be running for this control to work.
