The Computerized Monitoring System (CMS) consists of an action alarm, an action lamp (1) and a monitoring system display (2). Individual alert indicators (3) for each machine system are located on the monitoring system display.
The monitoring system is designed to alert the operator of an immediate or an impending problem in one or more machine systems.

( 1 ) | The active warning indications are marked with an X. |
( 2 ) | If the required action is not carried out, the following results will occur. |
( 3 ) | The alert indicator flashes at 10 HZ rate. |
( 4 ) | The action lamp flashes at 1 HZ rate. |
( 5 ) | The action alarm will sound at 1 HZ rate. |
Warning Categories
The CMS provides three warning categories. The first category requires only operator awareness. The second warning category needs operator response. The third warning category requires immediate shutdown of the machine systems.
Warning Category 1
In this category, only the alert indicators or gauge display will flash. It requires that the operator is aware that a machine system needs attention.

| Parking Brake (1) - Indicates the parking brake is engaged and the transmission is in NEUTRAL. The alert indicator should flash during start-up. It should go out when the parking brake is disengaged. |
Show/hide table
| Electrical System (2) - Indicates a malfunction in the electrical system. If this alert indicator flashes, the system voltage is either too high for normal machine operation or the system voltage is too low for normal machine operation. |
If the electrical loads are high (air conditioning and/or lighting) and the engine speed is low or near idle, increase engine speed to high idle. This will generate more output from the alternator. If the electrical system alert indicator turns off within about one minute, the electrical system is probably operating normally, but overloaded during periods of low engine speeds.
Modify operating cycle to keep from overloading the electrical system and discharging the batteries.
Low idle must be correct. Adjust for high side of low idle specification with most often used electrical loads turned on. Reducing loads will also help, by using Medium fan speed instead of High.
If this procedure does not cause the alert indicator to turn off, pull to a convenient stop and investigate the cause (loose/broken alternator belt, defective batteries etc.).
If engine speed is near operating speeds and if electrical loads are light, and the light remains on, pull to a convenient stop and investigate the cause (loose/broken belt, defective batteries or alternator).

| Primary Steering (3) - Indicates a failure of the primary steering. The secondary steering (if equipped) should be automatically activated. |
Note: Secondary steering only operates while the machine is moving.

|
NOTICE |
If the primary steering indicator flashes, cease operation, quickly move the machine to a safe area and shut the machine down. Inspect and rectify the cause of the problem before recommencing operation. |

| Impending Brake Application (4) - Indicates that the machine has low transmission oil pressure. If the transmission pressure further decreases the parking brake will automatically engage. |
Show/hide table
|
NOTICE |
If the Impending Brake Application (IBA) indicator flashes, cease operation. Move the machine to a safe area to engage the parking brake and stop the engine. Inspect and repair the cause of the problem before returning the machine to operation. |

| Fuel Level (5) - The gauge display will flash when the fuel level reaches approximately 10% of the tank capacity. To avoid being stranded without fuel, refuel as soon as possible within the hour. |

|
NOTICE |
Running out of fuel can cause engine damage. Do not continue to operate the machine when critically low on fuel. |
|
Warning Category 2
In this category, the alert indicator or the gauge display and the action lamp will flash. It requires a change in machine operation to reduce excessive temperature in one or more of the systems.
Do not operate the machine if the alert indicator or the gauge display and the action lamp continues to flash, after investigating the cause.

| Engine Coolant Temperature (6) - Indicates excessive engine coolant temperature. If this gauge display flashes, pull the machine to a convenient stop. Investigate the cause. |

| Transmission Oil Temperature (7) - Indicates excessive converter/transmission oil temperature. If this gauge flashes, reduce the load on the machine. If the gauge display and the action lamp continue to flash after approximately five minutes, pull to a convenient stop. Investigate the cause. |

| Hydraulic Oil Temperature (8) - Indicates excessive hydraulic oil temperature. If this gauge display flashes, reduce the load on the system. If the gauge display continues to flash, pull the machine to a convenient stop. Investigate the cause. |

| Axle Oil Temperature (9) (If Equipped) - Indicates excessive front or rear axle oil temperature. If this alert indicator flashes during operation, reduce the load on the machine. Downshift the transmission to reduce the load on the braking system. If the alert indicator continues to flash, pull the machine to a convenient stop. Keep the engine running to circulate and cool the oil. Investigate the cause. |
Warning Category 3
In this category, the alert indicator or gauge display and the action lamp will flash and the action alarm will sound. It requires immediate shutdown of operation to prevent severe damage to the system and/or the machine.
Do not operate the machine until the cause has been corrected.
