ACTION REQUIRED
To complete this rework it is not necessary to remove the front frame cross support structure. Remove one bolt and drill to M20 clearance through hole at a time and replace with new hardware. The front bolt is not required to be rework unless it has failed. If a front bolt has failed, rework to the new M20 hardware on both front bolts. Refer to the attached Rework Procedure. |

1. Disconnect machine power supply. 2. Disconnect electrical, cooling, and wiper/washer system as needed. 3. Remove the cab/rops assembly. Refer to Refer to UENR6756, Disassembly and Assembly, "Support (Cab) - Remove and Install", to complete this Rework Procedure. 4. Enlarge the bolt holes on each side of the bat wing. Leave both front bolts as they are, unless they have failed. Enlarge the 16mm holes to accommodate a 20mm thru bolt, using either a 20mm drill or a 51/64 inch drill. Complete one bolt hole at a time. Refer to Image1.1.1 and 1.1.2 5. Install new bolt, structural washers, and nut. 6. Tighten all reworked bolts to a specified torque of 460 N.m. Refer to M0087171, Service Magazine, "New Tightening Procedure Is Now Available for the Frame Plate Bolts on Certain Asphalt Compactors, Paving Compactors, and Vibratory Asphalt Compactors", for the proper tightening procedure. |
