PROBLEM
The 356-4199 Pinion Shaft may not have received adequate heat treat, resulting in shallow hardened depth. |
ACTION REQUIRED
Inspect all 356-4199 Pinion Shafts in dealer parts stock. There are markings on the end of the pinion shaft that will include the lot number. Refer to Image1. The lot number will be a two-digit number starting with a 4 or a 5. - If the lot number does NOT start with "51" or "52", the parts are good, they can be returned to dealer parts stock. - If the lot number does start with "51" or "52", the part is bad and needs to be removed from dealer stock. |
