ACTION REQUIRED

Inspect all 384-9906, 384-9907, 384-9908, 0R-9751, 10R-6389, and 10R-6388 Crankshafts for a date code 19E01xxxx to 20E03xxxx in dealer parts stock. Refer to Image1 and Image2 for date code location example.

If any of the above part numbers are found in this date code range, then use the inspection process in the attached Rework Procedure to check for any burrs in the oil passages. A flexible borescope with a maximum 8mm diameter will be needed to perform the inspection.

Refer to the Parts Disposition.
Photo documentation of each oil passage showing the burrs, and a photo of the crankshaft serial number will need to be submitted with the claim. If part is identified to have the issue Create a Global Dealer Solution Network (GDSN) Product Health Service Request (SR) with the priority of "Product Inquiry/Informational and close the ticket without submitting to AVSpare as stated in the Rework Procedure.

If burrs or loose material are not found, then mark the crankshaft packaging as inspected per this program and return the part back into dealer parts stock. Reapply rust preventative to crankshaft after inspection so it can be returned to dealer parts stock in a well preserved condition.
