PROBLEM
The existing 20R-4681 Reman Wheel Motor stator can short to ground on certain 794 AC and 795F AC Off-Highway Trucks. If the existing 20R-4681 Reman Motor stator shorts, it will result in unplanned machine downtime. |

Note: 20R-4681 with serial numbers B5Y02000 and up are manufactured with a more robust insulation package. Do not remove all 20R-4681 from dealer inventory, but prioritize installing B5Y02000 and up if necessary. In the event of a motor replacement please download a full ET Product Status Report, full VIMS download, and download the Flight Recorders from both Motor Control ECMs. To prevent any time delay, submit these files, repair work order, motor serial number and any pictures of the failed area to CPI Feedback for CPI 313742. Install new Traction Motor Refer to Disassembly and Assembly (KENR8715), "Electric Motor (Wheel Traction) - Install". Note: reference Service Magazine SEPD1623, "Assembly Procedure is Updated for the 795F AC Off-Highway Truck" for details on motor grease line routing. Re-install final drive. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly (KENR8715), "Final Drive - Install". //For 794 AC// Remove the final drive.
