This Program must be administered either before or after failure.
In either case the decision whether to apply the Program is made by the dealer. When reporting the repair, use "PS46561" as the Part Number
and "7755" as the Group Number. If administered before failure, use "56" as the Warranty Claim Description Code and "T" as the SIMS Description code.
If administered after failure, use "96" as the Warranty Claim Description Code, and "Z" as the SIMS Description Code. |

When submitting claim for Parts Stock Action, Use the appropriate 99Z as the s/n, the appropriate Service Letter Program Number as the Part number in the Part Causing Failure field,
"7755" as the Group Number, "56" as the Description Code. |

The existing engine ECM was programmed incorrectly with an incorrect fuel limit on certain 797F Off-Highway Trucks with High Altitude Engine Arrangement. This can result in reduced horsepower and performance. |

Rework all 575-6972, 514-4907, and 505-1082 Engine Arrangements with Serial Numbers 4X401007-4X401022 in dealer parts stock and/or dealer exchange inventory. |

****Affected Product**** |
1. Download the ECM replacement file from existing ECM.
2. Flash software 5484807 or latest available on SIS Web onto new blank ECM.
3. Load ECM replacement file. Make sure to ?Uncheck? FLS & FTS boxes. Cat ET will ask for factory password for ?engine starts?, ?lifetime engine revolutions?, ?total idle time? and ?total max fuel?. Provide a password to update (reason code 4).
4. Using Cat ET, enter the new FLS & FTS values in configuration screen. Reference new list of FLS values shown in attached table. FTS value will remain same as factory test. No password should be needed.
5. ECM is now ready to install onto the truck. Download PSR before and after ECM swap. |

Submit a claim for all engines reworked in dealer parts stock and/or dealer exchange inventory. Include the serial number of the engines that were reworked in dealer parts stock and/or dealer exchange inventory. 2 hours are allowed for each engine that is reworked. One 488-4875 ECM is allowed for each engine that is reworked.
