SUBJECT: THE SHUTTLE VALVE MAY BE MISSING FROM SOME 194-0436 PUMP GROUPS

PROBLEM:

Pumps have been found, in the field, that have the shuttle valve missing. The pumps that have the shuttle valve missing were pumps that have not been previously installed on a machine at the factory. Individual pumps shipped from the factory or from the Parts Department may have this defect. The pump group part number is 194-0436. A missing valve will cause the Zero Fan Speed Valve to operate incorrectly which will result in erratic fan speeds.

SOLUTION:

Before installing a 194-0436 Pump Group on a machine, inspect the shuttle valve port in order to determine that the parts are in place. If parts are missing, order the shuttle valve parts from the Parts Dept and install them into the pump.

Install the 165-9367 Valve by pressing it into the bore, chamfer end first, until it contacts the bottom. Install the 138-6780 Shuttle Valve either direction. Install the 200-0962 Bushing as shown. Replace the 081-3959 Plug.
