SUBJECT: MODIFIAVSIONS ARE NECESSARY IN ORDER TO USE THE 165-9889 BROOM BRACKET GP ON ALPHA XR MACHINES
PROBLEM:
The Price Book pages identify the 165-9889 Broom Bracket Gp for use with alpha XR machines (232, 242, and 257 machines). The 165-9889 Broom Bracket Gp, however, cannot be installed on these machines due to the difference in the design of the lift arms.
SOLUTION:
Engineering is working to release a new broom bracket group for alpha XR machines (232, 242, and 257 machines). In the meantime, the two brackets (165-9892 and 165-9893) from the 165-9889 Broom Bracket Gp can be installed on the alpha XR lift arms, with the following additional hardware:

Tighten the bolts to a torque of 100 ? 20 N?m (74 ? 15 lb.ft.).
Note: If the 165-9892 Bracket As and the 165-9893 Bracket As from the 165-9889 Broom Bracket Gp are not available, the bracket assemblies from the 165-9890 Broom Bracket Gp (for beta XR machines) can be modified for use on alpha XR machines. Drill an additional 14 mm (0.5 in.) hole, that is 217 mm (8.5 in.) from the first hole. Use center-to-center dimensioning, along the same reference line, as shown in Figure 3.
