SUBJECT: REPLACE PLASTIC POPPET VALVE
PROBLEM:
The plastic poppet valve in the brake charging valve is not achieving an acceptable service life.
SOLUTION:
Change the former plastic poppet valve with a steel poppet valve.

- Screen
- Poppet valve
- Remove plastic poppet valve (2). Discard plastic poppet valve (2).
- Remove Screen (1). If screen (1) is damaged, replace the screen.
- Install new steel poppet valve.
- Check the brake charging valve cut in and cut out pressures. Refer to Systems Operation Testing and Adjusting, RENR7813, "R2900G Load Haul Dump Braking System".
