SUBJECT: HYDRAULIC TANK BREATHER HOSE MAY BE CRIMPED INSIDE THE ROPS POST
PROBLEM:
The hydraulic tank breather hose (5P-1442 Hose) may be crimped inside the ROPS post. This can cause pressurization of the hydraulic tank.
The hydraulic tank breather assembly includes the 5P-1442 Hose (which connects to the hydraulic tank), the 207-9729 Filter As. (Breather), and the 233-5997 Hose. The 233-5997 Hose is folded onto itself before the breather assembly is inserted into the ROPS post. If the fold was inadvertently made in the 5P-1442 Hose at initial installation at the factory, the hose may be crimped enough to cause pressurization of the hydraulic tank.
SOLUTION:
Withdraw the hydraulic tank breather assembly from the ROPS post and inspect the breather assembly. Ensure that the fold is in the 233-5997 Hose rather than in the 5P-1441 Hose and that the 233-5997 Hose is not crimped. Re-insert the breather assembly in the ROPS post.
Note: Avoid applying pressure at the fold in the 233-5997 Tube in order to prevent creating a crimp or a restriction in this tube.
