Component Code: 7606

SUBJECT: New PC Service Tool Software Released for Cellular Based Product Link (PL102C)

PROBLEM

Unexpected Behavior in PL102C Product Watch functionality ? Product Watch is disabled when a registration parameter is changed.

SCOPE

Root cause of the problem is an issue with the PC Service Tool that was distributed on CD with PL102C service cables (100% of population). There were approximately 100 of these CD/Service Cable combinations shipped to about 35 dealers. This will only affect users that enable the Product Watch feature.

SOLUTION

Update the PC Service Tool software to the latest release found on the SIS website. Note: The original software must be removed before installing the updated software.

A new version of PC Service Tool software has been validated and is ready for distribution to address the problem. The new software, EERE5001 (ver. 1.0.2), can be downloaded from the SISweb Internet site. From the main page under the "Highlights" section, click on "Downloads" and scroll down to "Additional Downloads".
