SUBJECT: Product Link Ready Machines ? Potential Wiring Error

PROBLEM:

A potential wiring error may exist on the machine-side wiring of Product Link "ready" machines. Product Link ready machines that are pre-wired for the PL-151/PL-201 contain a 6-pin connector that may be wired incorrectly. Product Link ready machines that are pre-wired for the PL-121SR/PL-321 contain a 12-pin connector that may be wired incorrectly. Damage to the Product Link module may occur if connected to a machine that contains a Product Link connector that is wired incorrectly. The Product Link modules that may be damaged if the Product Link connector is wired incorrectly are listed in Table 1.

SOLUTION:

While referring to the diagrams shown below, check the machine connector wiring and ensure that all of the wires match. Refer to Special Instruction REHS2365 "Product Link PL121SR and PL300 Installation Guide" for additional information.
