SUBJECT: The 126-6933 Cover Group Attachment May Need To Be Adjusted on certain Motor Graders.

PROBLEM:

On certain Motor Graders, the 126-6933 Cover Group may be out of alignment. The improper alignment of the cover group could result in damage to the heads of the bolts that attach the cover to the frame.

Figure 1: Example of an improperly aligned 126-6933 Cover Gp.

SOLUTION:

1) Loosen the bolts that attach the 126-6933 Cover Group to the frame.

Figure 2: Example of a properly aligned 126-6933 Cover Gp.

A) 10.0 mm (0.39 inch)

B) 14.5 mm (0.57 inch)

NOTE: Distance (A) and distance (B) are reference distances only.

2) Align the cover while observing reference distance (A) between the inside edge of the frame and the cover group.

3) Align the cover while observing reference distance (B) between the bottom edge of the frame and the cover group.

4) Tighten the bolts while maintaining the specified distances achieved in Step 2 and Step 3.
