SUBJECT: The Entertainment Radio in the Cab Does Not Have Power on Some 836G Landfill Compactors

PROBLEM:

The wiring schematic is incorrect. Also, a new cab harness does not supply power to the 120 Yellow Circuit in the cab. This circuit powers the entertainment radio in the cab.

SOLUTION:

The corrected wiring schematic will be available in the near future. An additional fused circuit can be added to the e-bay in order to provide power to the radio.

Perform the following procedure in order to install the new power circuit.

  1. Disconnect the power to the machine at the main disconnect switch.
  2. Remove the e-bay cover on the right hand machine platform.
  3. Remove the circuit breaker cover and remove the two 9X-2042 screws that hold the circuit breaker plate in the e-bay. These screws will be reused.
  4. Install the 266-5889 Film on the new 231-6558 circuit breaker plate. Install two new 9G-4224 Receptacles into the new circuit breaker plate. Install a new 144-2223 Gasket on the plate assembly.
  5. Remove the two wire connectors from the end of a fuse holder (1). Unscrew the fuse holder from the existing circuit breaker plate and install the fuse holder in the correct location on the new circuit breaker plate. Reconnect the wire connectors. Refer to Illustration 1 below.
  6. Note: Make sure that the wire connectors are reinstalled to the correct location corresponding with the circuit that is labeled on the new fuse film. Care should be taken to properly mark each connector or each fuse holder should be transferred one at a time.
