SUBJECT: Steering Column Harness Assembly Kinking on G/GII Medium Wheel Loaders

PROBLEM:

A kink can occur in the 118-2943 Steering Column Harness Assembly when the steering column is tilted forward (refer to Illustration 1). This kink can cause pinched or broken wires, resulting in inoperative Forward/Neutral-Reverse or Upshift/Downshift functions.

SOLUTION:

Implement an additional loop on the 118-2943 Steering Column Harness Assembly as shown in Illustration 3 through Illustration 5. An assembly process change has been planned in order to implement this improvement on production machines.
