Rotate autoshift control switch (1) to MANUAL position (2) in order to select the desired transmission speed manually.
Rotate autoshift control switch (1) to one of the three AUTO positions (3) in order to select the desired transmission speed automatically. In the automatic mode, the operator selects the highest desired operating speed from the options on autoshift control switch (1).

(4) Upshift switch (5) Downshift switch (6) Transmission direction control switch |
The Power Train Electronic Control Module (ECM) automatically shifts the transmission if autoshift control switch (1) is in one of the three AUTO positions (3). The Power Train ECM evaluates the input signals that are sent from the engine speed sensor and the transmission output speed sensor in order to regulate transmission shifts. The Power Train ECM does not allow automatic upshifts to a speed that is higher than the speed that is selected with the autoshift control switch.
The operator can override the autoshift function by depressing downshift switch (5). Momentarily depressing downshift switch (5) signals the Power Train ECM to downshift the transmission by one speed. Depressing and holding downshift switch (5) signals the Power Train ECM to continue to downshift the transmission as the machine speed decreases. The transmission will remain in the downshifted gear for two seconds after the downshift switch is released. Then, automatic shifting is resumed.
Note: Transmission direction control switch (6) must be in the NEUTRAL position when the key start switch is turned to the START position. If the transmission direction control switch is not in the NEUTRAL position, the start relay will not be activated when the key start switch is turned.
