The ground level shutdown switch is used on the machine to provide Engine ECM (2) with a engine shutdown mode.
Ground level shutdown switch (1) has two sets of contacts: normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO). The Engine ECM has two inputs: normally closed (NC) and normally open (NO). This signal from the ground level shutdown switch is sent to the Engine ECM. The Engine ECM will shut the engine down.
The ground level shutdown switch will reset when the knob is turned clockwise. This shutdown method should only be used in an emergency.
