Illustration 2 | g00920754 |
The transmission control is located on the right side of the operator in the operator compartment. The transmission control is a mechanically moved lever which selects PARK, NEUTRAL, one to eight FORWARD, and one to six REVERSE speeds. The transmission control directs an electrical signal to the transmission ECM.

Illustration 3 | g01094539 |
The transmission oil cooler is located in the bottom section of the radiator. The transmission oil cooler uses engine coolant in order to cool the transmission oil. The cooled oil is used for the transmission lubrication.

Illustration 4 | g00914524 |
The transmission oil cooler is mounted next to the engine on the right side of the machine. The transmission oil cooler uses engine coolant in order to cool the transmission oil. The cooled oil is used for the transmission lubrication.
Oil Cooler Relief Valve
The oil cooler relief valve is located in the transmission case underneath the transmission control valve. When the pressure at the cooler inlet exceeds 520 kPa (75 psi), the oil cooler relief valve allows the lube to flow around the transmission oil cooler.
Transmission Oil Filter

Illustration 5 | g00920486 |
The transmission oil filter is located in the rear portion of the access compartment on the left side of the machine. The transmission oil filter is used to filter the oil that flows from the transmission pump to the transmission control valve.
Transmission Pump
![]() | |
Illustration 6 | g00914533 |
The transmission pump is located on the front side of the transmission case on the right side of the machine. The transmission pump is a two-section pump that contains a charging section and a scavenge section. The scavenge section transfers oil from the transmission sump to the differential. The charging section transfers oil from the differential to the transmission oil filter.

Illustration 8 | g00920365 |
The magnetic screen filter for the transmission scavenge pump is located just below the transmission pump. The magnetic screen filter for the transmission scavenge pump is used to filter the oil that is transferred to the differential.
Clutch Pedal

Illustration 9 | g00920865 |
The clutch pedal is located at the base of the steering column in the operator compartment. The clutch pedal is used to vary the power that is transmitted to the drive wheels.

Illustration 10 | g00914529 |
The differential lock valve is a solenoid activated hydraulic valve that directs power train oil to the differential lock. The differential lock valve is located on the differential carrier.
ReferenceSee Systems Operation/Testing and Adjusting, "Differential and Bevel Gear" for more information.
Transmission Lubrication Relief Valve
The transmission lubrication relief valve is located in the transmission case underneath the transmission control valve. When the pressure at the inlet for the lube oil exceeds 520 kPa (75 psi), the transmission lubrication relief valve allows the oil to flow into the transmission sump.
Transmission Control Valve

Illustration 11 | g00914525 |
The transmission control valve is located on the left side of the transmission case at the rear of the machine. The transmission control valve provides oil flow at the correct pressure and at the proper time in order to engage the desired clutch packs.
