  1. Connect the steering frame lock. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Steering Frame Lock".

  2. Use Tooling (A) to chock the front wheels.

  3. Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifter device to fender assembly (1). The weight of fender assembly (1) is approximately 188 kg (415 lb).

  4. Remove bolts (2). Remove bolts (3).

  5. Remove bolts (4).

  6. Remove bolts (5). Remove fender assembly (1).

    For Tooling (C)

  7. Position Tooling (C) as shown to raise the rear of the machine until the rear wheels are off the ground.

  8. Position Tooling (C1) as shown to raise the rear of the machine until the rear wheels are off the ground. Refer to Tool Operating Manual, NEHS1303, "Lift Group (Stand - 25 Ton)" for more information on Tooling (C1).

  9. Attach a suitable lifting device onto rear wheel and tire (6). Remove bolts (7). Remove rear wheel and tire (6) from the spindle hub. The weight of rear wheel and tire (6) is approximately 340 kg (750 lb). Repeat this step for the remaining wheels.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install rear wheel and tire (6) in the reverse order of removal.

  2. Tighten bolts (7) to a torque of 1800 ± 200 N·m (1328 ± 148 lb ft).
