  1. Install Tooling (B) and a hoist to the engine, the torque converter, the transmission, and the output transfer gears as a unit.

  1. Use the hoist to position the engine, the torque converter, the transmission, and the output transfer gears as a unit. The weight of the engine, the torque converter, the transmission, and the output transfer gears is approximately 2270 kg (5000 lb).

  1. Install bolts (35) and (36) .

  1. Position tube assembly (18). Install bolts (20), bolt (19) and the clip to tube assembly (18) .

  1. Connect tube assemblies (17) .

  1. Install bolts (15) and (16) .

  1. Install the heater hoses. Open both heater valves (25) .

  1. Install Tooling (A) and a hoist to the firewall.

  1. Use the hoist to position the firewall on the machine. The weight of the firewall is approximately 123 kg (270 lb).

  1. Install bolts (14) .

  1. Connect wire assemblies (13) to the inside of the firewall. Install the clips that hold the wire assemblies to the firewall.

  1. Connect any additional wire assemblies from the inside of the firewall.

  1. Install panel (12) and bolts (11) .

  1. Connect wire assemblies (9) and (10) to the firewall.

  1. Connect hose assemblies (7) and (8) .

  1. Install clip (6) .

  1. Position panels (4) on both sides of the machine. Install bolts (3) .

  1. Connect tube assembly (2) .

  1. Install Tooling (A) and a hoist to door (1). Install door (1) to both sides of the machine.

  1. Fill the transmission oil system. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual for the correct procedure.

End By:

  1. Install the refrigerant accumulator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Refrigerant Accumulator - Remove and Install".
  2. Install the fan. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Fan - Remove and Install".
  3. Install the hood. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hood - Install".
  4. Install the cab. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Cab - Install".
  5. Install the rear drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Rear) - Remove and Install".
  6. Install the center drive shaft. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Shaft (Center) - Remove and Install".
  7. Install the steering cylinders. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Drive Steering Cylinder - Install".
