  1. Remove nuts (1). Remove collar (2).

  2. Remove nut (3) from the shaft.

    Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.

    Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.

    Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.


  3. Install Tooling (A) and remove the impeller.

  4. Remove spring (4) from the shaft.

  5. Remove bolts (5). Use a soft hammer and remove shaft (7) and retainer (6).

  6. Remove all of the seals and inspect the water pump housing.
