Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, thoroughly clean all parts in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement. Dirt and other contaminants can damage the components of the pump. All disassembly and all assembly procedures must be performed on a clean work surface and in a clean hydraulic area. Keep cleaned parts covered and protected at all times.

Note: Check the O-ring seals and the seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary.

Note: Do not lower the temperature of bearings (18).

  1. Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to install bearings (18) into pump cover (10). The joint surfaces of the bearings must be 30 ± 15 degrees from the centerline through the bearing bores. The joint surfaces must be toward Outlet Port (X). Make sure that the bearings are 1.50 ± 0.25 mm (0.059 ± 0.010 inch) below the machined surface of pump cover (10). The bearing inside diameters must be 31.798 ± 0.039 mm (1.2519 ± 0.0015 inch) after installation. If after three attempts the bearings diameters do not measure 31.798 ± 0.039 mm (1.2519 ± 0.0015 inch), replace pump cover (10).

Note: Do not lower the temperature of bearings (5).

  10. Use Tooling (B) and a suitable press to install bearings (5) into pump body (3). The joint surfaces of the bearings must be 30 ± 15 degrees from the centerline through the bearing bores. The joint surfaces must be toward Outlet Port (X). Make sure that the bearings are 1.50 ± 0.25 mm (0.059 ± 0.010 inch) below the machined surface of pump body (3). The bearing inside diameters must be 31.798 ± 0.039 mm (1.2519 ± 0.0015 inch) after installation. If after three attempts the bearings diameters do not measure 31.798 ± 0.039 mm (1.2519 ± 0.0015 inch), replace pump body (3).
