When the lift arms are fully lowered, a small gap may exist between one of the lift arms and the corresponding stop block on the step. This occurs when the lift arms fail to contact the stop blocks simultaneously. A gap that is less than or equal to 3.0 mm (0.12 inch) is acceptable. A gap that is less than or equal to 3.0 mm (0.12 inch) should not be considered as a defect in material or in workmanship.

Use a 3.0 mm (0.121 inch) gauge to check for an acceptable gap. Ensure that the gauge covers the entire contact surface of the stop block.
Note: Inspections for an acceptable gap are performed on 100% of machines prior to shipment of machines from the factory.
